{"id":900,"date":"2017-04-27T13:41:24","date_gmt":"2017-04-27T13:41:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tourmaline.extension-interactive.com\/?page_id=900"},"modified":"2018-11-15T13:10:10","modified_gmt":"2018-11-15T13:10:10","slug":"car-rental","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.tourmalinesafaris.com\/en\/preparing-your-travel\/car-rental\/","title":{"rendered":"Car rental"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row is_container=&#8221;yes&#8221; el_class=&#8221;margin_top_60&#8243;][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div class=\"main_title is-hidden\">\n<h2 class=\"art-PostHeader\">Vehicles<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"art-PostContent\">\n<div class=\"art-article\">\n<h3 class=\"is-hidden\">Vehicles<\/h3>\n<p>There are many car rental companies, we can see a wide range of various rate for the same type of vehicle.<br \/>\nIn general, a rate does correspond to a certain service and quality (vehicle age, equipment quality, maintenance, efficiency of the assistance).<\/p>\n<p>To clarify all this, CARAN (Car Rental Association of Namibia) is actually busy setting up a quality grade.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list_ok\">\n<li>Category A : vehicle less than 60 000km and 1 year old for the 2X4 and 75 000 km with maximum 15 month old for the 4X4.<\/li>\n<li>Category A\/B : 50% vehicles in category A and 50% vehicules in category B<\/li>\n<li>Category B : vehicle with less than 120 000km and 24 old maximum for the 2X4 and 150 000 km with maximum 30 month old for the 4X4.<\/li>\n<li>Category B\/C : 50% vehicles in category B and 50% vehicles in category C<\/li>\n<li>Category C : vehicle with less than 180 000km and 48 month old for the 2X4 and 250 000 km with 54 month old maximum for the 4X4.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some car rental do rent cars older than category C, there rate are very low and your chances to have problem with such cars is quite high.
