Travel to Victoria Falls – Zimbabwe

The Victoria Falls are some of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world and one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The falls are located near the town of Livingstone on the Zambezi River, which forms the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe at this point. The river drops 128 meters over a massive sheer cliff into a chasm of around 1 700 meters in width, all visible from just a few meters. Spray from the falls rise around 400 meters high and after the river falls away into the long fault in the plateau, it escapes through a narrow canyon.

The Vctoria Falls are 1.7 km wide and at its highest 107 meters, making it the largest waterfalls in the world and were discovered by the Explorer David Livingstone. As an official site on the World Heritage List, the falls are impressive both in their size and for the fact that an average of 550 000 cubic meters of water flows over the falls every minute. From March to April, at the end of the rainy season, this flow can be multiplied by a factor of 10.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row is_container=”yes”][vc_column][vc_column_text]As it’s located on the border of several countries, the Victoria Falls can be visited from any of these countries:
